Second Soulsville search warrant at Talley Place leads to arrest and seizure of drugs, guns

Arrest follows repeat search of Soulsville address
A man was arrested after a law-enforcement search at a home in the Soulsville area of South Memphis led to the seizure of drugs, firearms and suspected distribution equipment. The operation targeted a residence on Talley Place that had previously been searched in late 2025, marking the second warrant served at the same address within roughly two months.
The most recent search resulted in the seizure of four firearms, including two rifles, a 9mm handgun and a sawed-off 12-gauge shotgun. Investigators also recovered electronic scales and a pill grinder, items commonly collected as evidence in drug-distribution cases. Authorities said the drugs recovered included crack cocaine and fentanyl in amounts described as felony-level quantities.
What was seized during the latest operation
Investigators reported encountering multiple people inside the home during the search. One man—identified by authorities as a convicted felon—was arrested at the scene. Three other people were detained for questioning and later released.
- Four firearms, including an illegal sawed-off shotgun
- Drugs reported as crack cocaine and fentanyl
- Electronic scales and a pill grinder
Authorities also reported that one of the seized rifles had previously been reported stolen in Memphis.
Earlier December raid described a separate, high-risk incident
The Talley Place home was previously searched on Dec. 17, 2025, at the end of a month-long investigation. During that earlier warrant service, agents reported finding a 45-year-old man actively overdosing inside the residence. Investigators administered naloxone and called for emergency medical assistance.
Authorities said the December search produced multiple types of narcotics and a loaded handgun, along with cash and scales. Two men were arrested at that time, and officials indicated additional charges could follow as the investigation continued.
Prosecutors have stated publicly in prior task-force cases that evidence collected during search-warrant operations is reviewed to determine appropriate charges and how the case proceeds through court.
Case review and next steps
Following the latest search, the case was expected to be reviewed for potential charges by the Shelby County District Attorney’s Office. Authorities indicated the investigation remained open, and that further arrests or additional charges could follow as evidence is processed and evaluated.
Both warrants reflect a broader enforcement pattern in which investigators focus on repeat locations tied to suspected drug activity, particularly when firearms and fentanyl are involved. Law-enforcement officials have emphasized that these investigations often continue beyond an initial arrest as agents analyze seized items, trace firearms and build cases on distribution activity.
