Public Notice: Housing Bond Hearing and Municipal Board Schedules

Official Notice: Proposed Multifamily Housing Revenue Bonds

The Health, Educational and Housing Facility Board of the City of Memphis has issued a formal notice regarding a proposed revenue bond issue. A public hearing is scheduled for Friday, February 27, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. Central Time. The board is considering the issuance of multifamily housing revenue bonds in an aggregate principal amount not to exceed $20,750,000. These funds are intended for University Place Preservation LP to facilitate the acquisition, construction, and equipping of residential rental facilities located at or near 1045 East E.H. Crump Boulevard.

In accordance with prevailing law, there will be no physical meeting. Residents and interested parties are invited to participate via teleconference by dialing 1-866-730-7514 (access code 216716#). Written comments may also be submitted in advance to the Board’s Director of Operations. This notice is provided pursuant to the provisions of the Tennessee Code Annotated and Section 147(f) of the Internal Revenue Code.

Municipal Meeting Calendar: Wednesday, February 18, 2026

The City of Memphis has confirmed the following public meetings for Wednesday, February 18:

  • Memphis Light, Gas and Water (MLGW) Board Meeting: The board will convene at 8:30 a.m. at 220 South Main Street, on the fifth floor. This meeting is open to the public for the discussion of utility operations and infrastructure updates.
  • Alcohol Commission Meeting: Scheduled for 9:00 a.m. in the City Council Chambers at 125 North Main Street. The commission will review pending applications and regulatory matters.
  • Center City Development Corporation (CCDC): A virtual meeting will take place at 9:00 a.m. to discuss downtown development projects and grant allocations.

Public Service Announcement: Community Homelessness Workshop

The Division of Housing and Community Development (HCD) will host a public session titled "How 2 Combat Homelessness" this evening, Wednesday, February 18. The event will run from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Benjamin L. Hooks Central Library in Meeting Rooms A/C. Led by the Homelessness and Special Needs Administrator, this free session aims to educate the community on current city initiatives and ways for residents to engage in support services.

The City of Memphis Public Works Department has officially transitioned from winter weather mitigation to citywide pothole repair operations. Following the recent cycles of freezing and thawing, crews are prioritizing major arterials and emergency routes. Residents are encouraged to report significant roadway damage through the city’s standard reporting channels to assist in the scheduling of localized repairs. Please exercise caution when approaching active work zones as crews maintain high-volume corridors.
