Memphis Police Investigate Fatal Shooting at Hickory Hill Apartment Complex; Suspect Reported to Flee

What happened

A man was found fatally shot Sunday morning, Feb. 15, 2026, at an apartment complex in Memphis’ Hickory Hill area, prompting an active homicide investigation by the Memphis Police Department.

Officers responded to a report of a shooting on Waterstone Oak Way at about 10:39 a.m. When police arrived, they located an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
